cutting, joining, hemming, assembly and finishing.

Product control operator

Checks the semi-finished and/or finished product against the required specifications, identifies and reports any defects, performs problem solving.

Vocational school qualification and/or diploma

Production manager

Organises and coordinates all departmental activities

High school diploma

Person responsible for planning production and logistics

Supervises all aspects from pattern making to storage (both for raw materials and for the finished product) that relate to production and sales.

Degree in logistics engineering and production

Quality control / Laboratory analyst

Familiar with the materials, conversion cycles, quality standards, types of analysis and the evaluation and interpretation of laboratory results, defects, etc.

High school diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree

Head of research and product development / pattern making

Sets the patterns, assists the product office manager in preparation of the sample, interprets the design drawing, prepares the drawing and the templates for cutting, and fills out the bills of materials.

Stylist/product designer

Prepares the collection, helps define the processing cycles, etc.

Follows the process from the creative idea of the designer to series production (study of the market, preparation of the structure of the collection, acts as intermediary between the creative designer and the brand manager, presentation of the sample).

Controls and coordinates the resources of the production department, plans production, monitors compliance with the delivery times, verifies the progress of the manufacturing cycle and makes corrections in accordance with the instructions/strategies of top management.

Product tracking technician

Has specific skills in the tools and methods for marking, identification and tracking of the finished product (knowledge of supply chain processes). Has in-depth knowledge of the various tracking technologies (RFID in particular).

Digital mould technician

Manages the design process of new moulds using state-of-the-art technologies and software up to the manufacture of the moulds, even one-off moulds (customised) and high precision moulds using CNC machines.

3D CAD, prototyping and 3D printing technician

Supports and assists the patternmaker with the preparation of samples/small runs, and has in-depth knowledge of the latest rapid prototyping and direct production technologies. Has basic expertise in footwear design methods (in particular CAD and 3D CAD) and the aspects of manufacture. Familiar with and able to use the most important rapid prototyping machines.

Interacts with the patternmaking area and with the customised footwear sales person (digital foot scanners, product configuration software).
